Delivery of 6 Paxman Scalp Coolers Generates Media Interest
Paxman have recently had some great coverage on BBC Radio Humberside, Viking FM and BBC Look North following the delivery of 6 Orbis Paxman scalp cooling machines to Castle Hill Hospital. These machines marked the first delivery in the whole of East Yorkshire.
Walk the Walk granted the scalp cooling machines as part of its pledge to get scalp coolers into more hospitals throughout the UK. The grant ensures that Castle Hill Hospital can offer the benefits of scalp cooling treatment to many local cancer patients.
Claire Paxman, Sales and Training Manager at Paxman Coolers Limited, commented:
“My mum lost all her hair and it was unfortunately a very devastating side effect, I was cutting all her hair off at 14 years old in the bathroom and I’ll never forget that.
“It’s fantastic for scalp cooling treatment to be available to patients in Hull and East Yorkshire. We would like to thank Walk the Walk for their generosity in providing the grant for the scalp coolers, enabling us to help improve patient’s lives during this difficult time.”
Celebrity hairdresser Mark Hill is an avid supporter of the work carried out by Paxman, he has pledged his support for the Cool Head Warm Heart campaign to raise awareness of scalp cooling and joined Claire on air:
“I’ve got a number of clients who are going through this treatment who have lost their hair. We have a saying in the hairdressing industry – your hair is the most important thing you wear every day of your life and the confidence that it gives you is extraordinary.”
Paxman also achieved coverage in the Hull Daily Mail, East Riding Mail and Yorkshire Post newspapers.
