Paxman Shortlisted for International Business of The Year Award
Paxman is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted for The HSBC International Business of The Year Award at The Huddersfield Examiner Business Awards.
Companies in this category were nominated as a result of overcoming barriers to promote international sales that have created jobs and benefited our region’s economy.
Since inception over ten years ago, Paxman has gone from strength to strength. In recent years it has continued to expand its horizons and drive progress in new global markets. The company has forecast that it will expand its international activity by 150% over the next two years.
In 2010, Paxman worked alongside UKTI, Medilink Yorkshire and Humber and Yorkshire Forward to grow its business internationally, using the Targeted Export Support Scheme (TESS) to access a number of European and World markets and achieve a 300% growth over three years.
Another side to Paxman’s international business relationships is its attendance at key international conferences and exhibitions. This year Paxman has already attended, Arab Health in Dubai, St Gallen Breast Cancer Conference in Switzerland, The 5th Gulf Federation Cancer Conference in Sharjah, ASCO in the USA and ECCO in Sweden. Attendance at these events helps to forge new relationships and raise awareness of scalp cooling.
Richard Paxman, Operations Director at Paxman said: “It is a great honour to have been nominated for The HSBC International Business of The Year Award. We have seen the company grow substantially overseas during the last few years and are looking forward to continual growth of the international side of the business.”
Award winners will receive their trophies and certificates at the gala awards night on Thursday, 3rd November at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield. BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration will be hosting the gala event, which will also include a celebrity speaker.
